bauwo Grundståcksgesellschaft mbH is developing its next big project in the DGNB Gold Standard in joint venture with Canada Bau. In Elsdorf, in the municipality of Zeven, southwest of Hamburg, the project developer is building a logistics park with 70,000 square meters of usable space directly on the A1 motorway. The construction of the logistics park in Elsdorf with the address Lange Straße has started. The complete completion of the seven units with a connection between the main logistics locations in northern Germany and the seaports of Bremen, Hamburg and Bremerhaven is planned for January 2024.
“When planning the offices and social areas, we currently assume that there will be 350 employees in the future, but in order to offer future users the greatest possible flexibility and future security, our concept is already designed for many more employees”, Alexander Külich, project manager at bauwo.
Early access to the first halls in the middle of a commercial and industrial area (LogIn Park Elsdorf) is possible for commercial companies and logistics service providers from November/December 2023.
From the logistics park in Elsdorf, the motorway #exit Bremer Kreuz (A1/A27) can be reached in about 39 km, the Horster Dreieck (A1/A7) in about 50 km. Bremen International Airport is approximately 50 km away.
As part of its sustainability strategy, bauwo is building a photovoltaic system over the entire roof surface of the hall of the logistics park in Elsdorf and is ensuring extensive green roofs on the office and technical buildings using local seed mixtures as well as the greening of facades with irrigation for the long-term preservation of plants. In addition, halls and office spaces are heated with heat pumps. Other resource-saving measures also include reduced sealing through eco-paving in the area of parking spaces and a #natural and insect-friendly design of outdoor facilities.

bauwo entrusted general contractor Goldbeck International with the construction of the large-scale project, which is only a few minutes from the motorway (exit 48 “Elsdorf”).
